Natural Environment Teaching (NET)

Natural Environment Teaching (NET) stands as a scientifically grounded instructional approach that enables practitioners to integrate the learner's surroundings into the teaching process, fostering the broad application of acquired skills. This method ensures the mastery of newly learned abilities can be demonstrated in various settings such as school, home, and the community.

In NET sessions, Jade Behavioral Consultants employ toys and engaging interactive activities to motivate and provide learning opportunities for the acquisition of new skills.

While these sessions may appear as enjoyable playtime, they are rich with learning experiences. The skills attained are always tailored to the individual, encompassing areas such as effective communication, object and people identification, sharing and turn-taking, cultivating sportsmanship, developing self-help and safety skills, as well as honing social skills, among others.
